Our stay at the Heathman Lodge was wonderful. Hotel staff clearly pay close attention to details. Nothing is overlooked. The rooms are lovely and very quiet; the grounds are well kept and beautiful; the hotel makes recycling a priority - which is important to our family. The front desk offers a complimentary latte, cappuccino or hot chocolate in the morning. The restaurant on the premises, Hudson's is flat out excellent. Usually hotel food is mediocre at best but Hudson's should be one of the reasons you'd stay at the Heathman. In fact, we noticed many locals enjoying Hudson's. We came to Vancouver for a concert and staying at the Heathman was the icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!

Ok, but overpriced. Current rating...

Liked: Staff was nice and helpfulCoffee machine in the lobby is niceLocation somewhat convenient
Disliked: Interiors are tired. Cracked upholstery on chairs, wallpaper patches on the wall.The bigger issue is they cut big on cleaning. Nobody came to us when we put a sign even though we saw a made working the floor. Also saw a guy asking for cleaning in the lobby saying he is requesting it for a second day.

Worth the price to stay...

Liked: The rustic look of the hotel was very nice. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the parking lot. Has a restaurant on the floor. Staff were nice, I needed an extra towel and she promptly brought one. Just a 20 minute drive across the river to Portland.
Disliked: Location is slightly hidden but way better than staying in Portland. I think the staff needs to be better with room inspections. Our bathroom towel rack fell off while stepping out of the shower. And the beauty mirror that is attached on the wall just came right off. As if they didn’t even try to use special screws for drywall. I did report it right away and they did fix her towel rack immediately. Otherwise our stay was comfortable.

Liked: I liked that there were bird sounds in the halls, felt like we were walking thru nature to our room. Set the relaxing tone. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of bedding and pillows. Complimentary coffee at anytime during our stay from the front desk.
Disliked: Was not able to utilize the hot tub or pool as we were out late, closing at 10pm.
