Comforting.

Liked: The way the space was divided made it feel spacious and homey. Comfortable stay. Owner was very personable and accommodating. The James Bay neighborhood has so much character and has a lived-in quality. It was a joy returning to our room after a day of adventuring.
Disliked: The accommodations are a bit dated, but not to the point that it was a detriment. We were able to conduct all of our modern business and comforts without disruption!

Liked: Location is excellent, right in the heart of Victoria. Nice and quite neighbourhood. The cottages are colourful with a lot of character, beautiful landscaping. Well stocked kitchen utensils, appliances.
Disliked: No complaints personally. Just an observation for the benefit of other people - I am a 5'8", average build person, but anyone larger/taller may feel cramped in some parts of the cottage, doorway are low, ceiling is low, shower space is tight.

An amazing cottage, great locations...

Liked: Heathergate cottage was a welcome home away from home for our family. Ned was a wonderful host and helped us getting settled in. He found a safe place for our bikes and was very generous with his time. Heathergate is so close to the waterfront and all the attractions, it was a pleasant surprise. I can’t wait until we return to Victoria again and hopefully welcomed back to Heathergate.
Disliked: Nothing!
