The Spotlight on Hazlitt's

Historic Charm in the Heart of London’s Music Scene

Modern isn’t always better — and Hazlitt’s proves it. Set in a beautifully preserved 18th-century townhouse, this boutique 4-star hotel sits right in the heart of Soho, London’s buzzing entertainment district. With its antique furnishings, chandeliers, and wood-paneled walls, Hazlitt’s offers a stay that’s as stylish as it is steeped in history. You're just a quick walk from major music venues, theatres, and nightlife.

This is a hotel that doesn’t just give you a place to sleep — it gives you stories to tell.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and Hazlitt’s nails it. Just a few minutes' walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station, getting to and from gigs late at night is a breeze. The hotel sits near multiple West End venues, making it easy to catch a show and stroll back. Despite being in the lively Soho area, rooms are surprisingly quiet and cozy, offering a peaceful retreat after the energy of a concert. Plus, with a 24-hour front desk and flexible 12:00 pm checkout, you won’t feel rushed the morning after.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends wanting character and convenience
- Solo travelers chasing a dream concert experience
- Couples looking for a romantic and cultural weekend
- Fans who appreciate a quiet, atmospheric unwind
- Budget-conscious music lovers who value charm over chain hotels

Food and Drink Options

Hazlitt’s doesn’t have a full restaurant, but they make up for it with thoughtful touches. Enjoy a delicious in-room breakfast with fresh croissants and coffee — perfect after a late night. The hotel also has an honesty bar, a rare and cozy touch, and you’re surrounded by some of London’s best late-night eateries just steps from the door.

Nightlife Options

Soho is legendary for nightlife, and Hazlitt’s sits in the middle of it all. Whether you're heading to a gig, a DJ set, or a hidden cocktail lounge, you'll find plenty within walking distance. While the hotel doesn’t host live music, it’s a short hop to clubs, cool pubs, and intimate music venues. For a more relaxed evening, unwind in the hotel’s elegant library lounge with a drink from the bar.

What People Say

Guests rave about the hotel’s character and charm, calling it “a step back in time” in the best way. The location is frequently highlighted as perfect for theatre and music lovers. Many reviewers appreciate the quiet atmosphere despite the central setting, and the staff are often described as friendly and helpful.

Areas for Improvement

Because it’s housed in a historic building, there’s no elevator — something to keep in mind if you’re packing heavy. Some guests mention that the quirky old-world style isn’t for everyone — if you're after sleek minimalism, this might not be your vibe.

The Bottom Line

Hazlitt’s is a one-of-a-kind stay for concert-goers who want history, heart, and unbeatable access to London’s live music and nightlife.

Superb boutique hotel at the...

Liked: The staffs are friendly, professional and helpful. I love when I entered the hotel and it was very quiet; in contrast to the chaotic London outside. The library and the work room are nice. Our junior suite room was also very beautiful.
Disliked: Our duplex room was very goo, nearly perfect. Only one point that I didn’t like is the toilet. The toilet was decorated by being hided in the bench cabinet. It’s cool but not comfortable though.

Elegant, comfortable hotel at a...

Liked: What a treasure of a hotel! I loved the warm and elegant decor throughout. My room was smaller but very comfortable with a unique bathroom feature. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And the location was ideal for both the theatre show I was seeing as well as the Underground. I am only sad my stay was not longer.

Old and wonky

Liked: Great location, walking distance from West End theaters and trendy Covent Garden restaurants.Friendly staff who helped us with our bags.No noise at all despite being on a bustling street with lots of nightlife.
Disliked: Hotel room floor was noticeably slanted to the point where it was difficult to walk around inside.Hotel room was quite cramped for 2 people with luggage.Hotel room was up approx. 5 flights of stairs with no elevator.Shower was in the bath with a handheld shower head only and no mounted hook or stand, meaning we had to hold the shower head the whole time. Also no shower curtain or screen making it difficult to keep the bathroom dry.

beautiful, historic, chic

Liked: The room was wonderful. It tread the line between historical and chic. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The location was awesome.
Disliked: The bed was slightly small and high, nearly dropped off the edge twice. The floorboards were a little creaky and noisy, though this is to be expected in a historical building.

Beautiful oasis in the midst...

Liked: Everything. But especially how attentive the staff were.
Disliked: The stairs to the first room I had struck me as an accident waiting to happen. Not really the right place for a disabled traveler. Lots of stairs and bits and bumps.

Hazlitt’s is so cozy and...

Liked: Location is perfect, a lovely part of Soho, great for exploring London on foot. The bed was plush and the bath was a total dream. I was concerned the single room might be too small but it was enough to feel comfortable. Will recommend and can’t wait to return.

Lovely overall

Liked: It was quiet and quirky, somewhere out of the ordinary and fine for a couple of nights. The staff were friendly and everywhere was well appointed and clean and tidy.
Disliked: Was awoken early by inconsiderate guests being noisy on the stairs which each room is adjacent to.
