Hazel Bank Country House Borrowdale Valley

Fantastic.

Liked: Hazel Bank is set in the most beautiful peaceful location. Nature and wildlife all around. We had house martins nesting outside our window. Saw woodpeckers on the bird feeders and spotted a red squirrel too. The hotel is tastefully, traditionally decorated and furnished. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! We ate twice at the hotel. The meals were delicious and the four courses very filling. Graham and his team were excellent in their service.
Disliked: Minor detail…. Lots of house-Martin’s poo on the windowsill. But they were nesting right above and honestly they were a joy to watch.

Liked: Truly is a "country house" hotel. Lovely location, comfortable rooms and exceptional service. The real highlight was the quality and presentation of the food - exceptional!
