Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Milwaukee Airport

It was ok for us

Liked: Very close to my son’s house. Easy to find as it is right off I94. Close to fast food and fuel. Easy to get in and out. Spacious parking. Spacious room . Clean bedding. I thought the breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs and waffles was tasty. Well managed by the staff .The price was fair.
Disliked: Unfortunately, due to the air conditioning design, there was a buzzing noise in our pillows every time it cycled on. I suppose we could have asked for a different room… but we didn’t. It made falling asleep a little bit harder. Lastly, the hotel is located right next to College Avenue which has a lot of truck traffic. The windows aren’t great insulators , so you really hear the noisy tractor trailers or noisy cars and trucks. Should have brought ear plugs.

Will not stay again

Liked: Good kitchen facilities in the room for the stay. Breakfast choices provided were sufficient.
Disliked: Becoming a little dated in the rooms but OK for the price point.

Liked: The room was big and had a kitchen and full sized fridge. I didn't add pictures of the beds because my family was already on them when I snapped pictures. But, they were good 👍

Liked: The breakfast was OK. Would have been even better if sausage Links or bacon strips was also available. ( when available)
Disliked: My room had a Refrigerator NOISEY Compressor that kept waking me up during the night.

For the Price, the room...

Liked: Value for the room
Disliked: Room was clean but the floors had a slick film on them. Pull out couch mattress was very thin but the queen beds were comfortable.

Spacious room, interaction with female...

Liked: Spacious room, well stocked kitchenette but could not operate the stove top. Friendly male front desk operator.
Disliked: Carpet seemed dirty between the bed and window as if the vacuum never reached there. Television was not operational and when we rang the front desk a woman answered and curtly told us she could not repair the television. She offered some advice on the television operation but the advice was irrelevant. The push button to go down on the elevator was not operational so one had to push the elevator button to go up and then wait for it to go up first and then come down. The stairway exit smelled like stale cigarettes. At various time staff were focused on their phones while walking in the hall, seemed more glued to their phones then to the environment around them. When we asked the front desk person if all of the televisions in the hotel were not working she replied yes but we found that not to be a true statement as our other family members in another room had their television working. We inquired about the property manager helping with the television issue and the female staff replied that she was the only staff there.
