Hawk's Nest Lodge

This was the worst place I have ever seen in my life. I have been all around the world and this was by far the most disgusting, nasty place I have ever been in. We went in to our room; it stunk like old smoke and musty as can be. Turned around and checked out; lost our entire room charge $87.00 plus taxes, but it was worth it to not have to stay in this hole!

Disliked: From the time we walked in the office, until 30 minutes later when we checked out. We could not get our money back, but we moved on to the Red Roof Inn right down the road - 1000 times better than this hole in the wall.

Disliked: This place is run down! Door to the room didn’t close properly, the window was broken and taped together, multiple different types of bugs in the room. The room smelled like alcohol and smoke. Bedding/chairs in the room were stained. Under the bed was absolutely filthy. Open hole in the ceiling in the bathroom, the baseboards didn’t meet the wall leaving a gap around the entire floor. When walking into the lobby there was multiple mattresses and dressers just sitting out in the open. Multiple broken down cars right in the front of the building was the first red flag.

Liked: Easy access and enjoyed the view from our room. The owners were very helpful and friendliness was unmatched.
Disliked: The building is older and needs some renovation. But I’d stay again.
