Hawk's Nest Lodge

This was the worst place I have ever seen in my life. I have been all around the world and this was by far the most disgusting, nasty place I have ever been in. We went in to our room; it stunk like old smoke and musty as can be. Turned around and checked out; lost our entire room charge $87.00 plus taxes, but it was worth it to not have to stay in this hole!

Disliked: From the time we walked in the office, until 30 minutes later when we checked out. We could not get our money back, but we moved on to the Red Roof Inn right down the road - 1000 times better than this hole in the wall.

Liked: The owner was super friendly.
Disliked: The room was so outdated. Holes in the bathroom. The walls, floor, and doors very dirty. Remote to TV did not work, freezer was frosted over, lamp on table had a short in it. Bed was so uncomfortable with springs, and if you sit on one side, the other side lifted off the ground. Blanket had cigarette burns in it. I was grateful to find a place on Christmas Eve for one night, but for over $70 to sleep in that room is crazy!!
