Nice remote hotel

Liked: We loved the restaurant, our meal was fabulous. Lovely outdoor seating areas and gorgeous gardens. View across the water is stunning.Amazing selection of wine.
Disliked: Very limited parking facilities. Check in not until 4pm. The shower dripped all night. Hardly any privacy between the 2 balconies. The settee legs looked like they going to fall off. No door between the bedroom and lounge area

Great location and quirky hotel...

Liked: The hotel is located in a lovely, peaceful location. My partner is recuperating so it was an ideal spot and luckily the sun was out for us to sit on the terrace. We liked the decor and especially our room which was big and airy with a great view The staff were all very friendly and helpful
Disliked: We booked into the bar for dinner as we didn’t want to travel out again. There is nowhere else to eat in the vicinity and we thought we’d treat ourselves. However, despite being good, the food was so over priced. I ordered scallops ( plural or so I thought ) and got just one ! - £15 ! The fish for the main course was also a very small portion and only came with peas and a thin crispy potato lattice ( chips etc were extra ) So at £28 for a main course we felt very underwhelmed It’s a shame as it felt mean and I love well presented, freshly prepared food but this was very expensive for what it was Breakfast was a different matter - plenty of choice and decent portions - it was great

Cool Art Deco hotel with...

Liked: The dinner was wonderful and the room where we ate was just outstanding, with views of the garden and the reservoir. Breakfast was equally delightful. The hotel's Art Deco vibe was very cool.
