Liked: Hastings House is beautiful, and the people who run it are lovely. We stayed in the Willow Suite, which was fabulous. I was particularly captivated by all the hummingbirds outside the breakfast area

Warm inviting environment reminds one...

Liked: Excellent choice at breakfast. Lovely gardens and view. Efficient pathway to town.
Disliked: Dinner portions were too generous. More than the average person can eat.

Great location but rooms need...

Liked: Great location and great staff. Charming main restaurant. Beautiful view. Complimentary shuttle to and from ferry dock.
Disliked: Room was dark. Bathroom needs renovation. Drapes falling off tracks. Furniture dilapidated. Included breakfast was delicious but they wanted to charge $6 each for a specialty coffee. At the price we paid for that hotel, it should have been included. Half bottle of wine was on the counter when we entered, with a $25 charge if used!
