Disappointed - rooms nothing like...

Liked: The only think I liked was the location.
Disliked: Firstly, I didn't like the fact that you had to check-in at the Mercure Hotel (up the road) - no on-site reception at Harrigan's. Upon arrival at Harrigan's, we were instantly disappointed with the room we were given (104) - it was nothing like the Studio room photos as advertised. This room had older furnishings (tiles, carpet) and furniture, not the modern looking room from the photos, and our view through the patio doors was of a small courtyard with a brick wall - not the lovely view shown in photos. Also, the toilet seat was broken - I nearly went through the glass shower screen slipping off the lid when I got up. We had booked a 2 nite stay but left shortly after we checked-in ($404 paid for nothing). We were very disappointed as this was my 60th birthday present. If you are looking to stay here and want the rooms shown on the website, I would ring first to check you are getting what you want.

Liked: The room size was incredible and lovely outdoor covered courtyard with chairs and table. The size of the shower awesome. The Fluffy clean plenty of towels and all the products and items for personal use. The single bed with firm mattress. The room looked luxurious with the beautifully made up beds. That there were blankets in cupboards in case of being cold. The aircon/heater. The fridge. The ironing board and iron. The hairdryer. We are sad we didn’t have a longer stay booked.
Disliked: The large bed. Mattresses way too soft for a heavier person. possibly old? A shame the chest of drawers top was flaking off paint. Maybe a piece of second hand timber can be fitted or it refurbished a little. This was letting down the look of the room. It’s looked very luxurious otherwise in main room area.

Liked: Great scenic location, in close proximity to all attractions.Great super spacious rooms. Rooms are not too modern but overall clean.
Disliked: The only noticeable downside was limited noise cancelling between the rooms, so if your neighbours are having a party until 4am, you are up all night.

Disliked: Shower head in one room was poor Fridge froze up in same room
