Worst hotel/head of security experience...

Liked: The room wasn’t clean, was told we could leave at midnight if we wanted and would be refunded due to trash being in the room and clearly not cleaned. Happily left, we live less than 30 minutes from there. This was solely a get a way because our house was being finished after the tornado that hit claremore a year ago. Was having a great conversation with a sweet desk attendant at “checkout”, was then approached by a man with a gun that was not an officer solely because the hotel night shift manager claimed she “felt uncomfortable” with me recording that I’d receive a refund. First time experiencing this, but they also seemed to be newer to their roles. Head of security (Austin Cantrell) told me I needed the Cherokee marshals authority to record the phone call, I explained the law, he was rude and quickly got off the line. Embarrassing experience as a Cherokee tribal member myself that’s stayed numerous times. We went across the street and booked a clean room, friendly staff, less than half the price, we didn’t get breakfast, but I’m pretty sure it’s offered. All was audio recorded and photos of the dirty room as well. Do better for over $300. They brought a handicap shower chair because the room was supposed to have a bath tub. So glad I’m being refunded. Lol
