Harbour Light Motel

Normally, I don’t like to give bad reviews. However, my recommendation - spend the extra $50 and find somewhere else to stay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable; very loud and had missing linen; didn't even have a face cloth in the washroom. The gentleman who checked us out advised me that my room smelled like smoke even though I don't smoke and my husband didn't even smoke in our car parked in front. He went across the parking lot. I still have not received my deposit back. It's been two days. I would not recommend this motel. The only reason I gave it a poor and not terrible is due to the young woman who checked us in. She was very polite and very helpful. If it wasn't for her, I'd give it a terrible.

Liked: The size of the room was decent. The young woman who checed us in was very helpful and seemed knowledgable.
Disliked: Missing linens; the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Had a horrible sleep; very loud - we could hear everything above and around us. Problem checking out and getting my deposit back.

Terrible location- feels unsafe

Liked: It was affordable and okay facilities. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: The washroom was clean but with mold and dripping marks on walls. The location was horrible, we went for a walk and had to turn around because we didn't feel safe. There was guests at the hotel making lots of noise, someone in a lot of pain and someone outside sweeping the door and coughing at 4 am. I felt concerned for my safety. There is no one at the front desk between 10pm - 9 am. I would not stay there again.

Liked: Great location, clean and safe. I love that there is a restaurant right next door.
Disliked: I was disappointed that the restaurant next door wasn’t open during my stay. When it’s open, it’s so convenient.

Disliked: We had better rooms before. Now they put the people who go through Expedia or Booking.com poorer rooms

It was a comfortable stay...

Liked: The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The bathroom could have had a bath mat, so you don't need to use your clean towel and the towels could have been bigger. The towels provided are big enough for a child.
