Amazing location and great value

Liked: Amazing location! just a 4-5 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum, close by to the tram, and walking distance to Amsterdam Centrum. The staff was great and we had a pleasant experience.
Disliked: The room was quite small and we had very small towels which can be improved.

Superb

Liked: I was very happy with the breakfast, there was even some hot food .
Disliked: The shower had a central drainer with just a curtain so the whole bathroom floor got wet when I took a shower, and it was slippery

Horror show not hostel

Disliked: If I could give zero stars, I would!Staying at this hotel was honestly an experience — if by experience you mean a complete nightmare. From the moment I walked in, the staff acted like I was bothering them just by existing. The room? Oh, a masterpiece of filth and disappointment. Stains everywhere, a smell that could knock out a grown man, and furniture that looked like it survived a natural disaster — barely. The bathroom was a horror show: leaking pipes, mold in every corner, and good luck if you want hot water, because apparently that's too much to ask.The breakfast was a sad joke. Cold, stale, and genuinely questionable if it was even safe to eat.And the cherry on top? When I complained, the staff shrugged it off like it was perfectly normal.Honestly, staying here made me question every decision that led me to book this place. Never again. Save yourself — stay literally anywhere else.

Sleeping in a dumpster

Disliked: Worst mistake of my life. This hotel should be condemned, not advertised. Filthy rooms, rude staff, disgusting food — staying here felt like a survival challenge, not a vacation. If you value your health, sanity, or basic human dignity, stay far away

Passable

Liked: I really liked a location. It was pretty central. The hostel had 2 lifts, it's also important for the travellers with heavy suitcases
Disliked: I didn’t like the staff—they were misleading and slow. I asked several times for a lower bed. The receptionist said it was currently impossible, but the next day, when one of the lower beds became available, and it was said that i can take it, there was another girl, so it means that receptionist just ignored the request. I’ve never faced such an attitude. On the last night, there was still a free lower bed. They could have been much more flexible. Other hostels around Europe were always fine with such changes, but here no.The pillows were very uncomfortable. My hands kept going numb because they were so firm. The shower area didn’t have a mop to clean the floor after showering. All the water would flow into the toilet area. The space was extremely narrow and uncomfortable. Girls had to use a towel to wipe the floor.
