Claustrophobic stay
Liked: The decor of the room and the quality of bathroom appliances.
Disliked: No lift! The rooms are extremely small. It felt cramped, we couldn’t move with the bags. No space to put the clothes either. Too expensive for what it is.

Superb
Disliked: As other people have said, great if you’re able bodied. There are no lifts that we could see and the stairs are steep. So it can be quite the trek if your in an upper floor

Very pleasant stay
Liked: Very nice, smallish room. Good location, very good continental breakfast for £10 each. Very close to Victoria Coach Station and close to railway stations
Disliked: TV did not work. Slide shower loose and could not be adjusted.

This was definitely a budget...
Liked: Room was clean, quiet and in a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Possibly the smallest single room in London, with a very narrow bed and uncomfortable mattress, on the fourth floor with no lift.

Not a 4-Star Hotel –...
Liked: Location is great close to Victoria station
Disliked: The Portico Hotel is marketed as a 4-star property, but it falls well short of that standard. At best, it's a functional 3-star. The rooms are extremely small, clearly the result of trying to cram in too many units. In our triple room, there were just three tiny shelves inside what might be the smallest wardrobe I've ever seen.Basic amenities are lacking – no iron provided, and there isn’t even space to set up an ironing board if there were one. Hairdryers and showers were either broken or barely functional, and there’s nowhere to hang clothes or put bags or suitcases, we had to put them in front of the door overnight, which is a fire escape hazard. On a positive note, the rooms were relatively clean and may be suitable for a one- or two-night stay if you're not planning to spend much time inside. However, I wouldn't recommend staying any longer.More concerning is the absence of a first aid kit on site, which is not only unacceptable but a legal requirement for a workplace setting. In summary: this hotel is misleadingly rated, lacks basic facilities, and falls short on safety compliance. Not somewhere I’d return to.
