Nice hotel but no heating
Liked: Location was good.
Disliked: Hi,We decided to spend the night with the family and go for the expensive junior suite only to find that the heating was broken in the room.Still waiting for a response from the hotels email??

Liked: Breakfast was very nice, staff are awesome.
Disliked: No facilities to use, not enough staff to do spa for 2, personally I was let down by the shower and the need of minor repairs in the bathroom.

Liked: Ambience of hotel , Christmas decorations , chefs going out of the way to make a meal , room was amazing
Disliked: Some staff where not very accomodating.Not allowed room service but saw another guest leave room service outside. Some staff did not allow us food from the tea menu while others were more accommodating

Staff were all excellent.
Liked: Staff were all excellent. Friendly and great service. Very covid secure. Would have been a 10 if the log fires were burning.
Big breakfast carried us through to eve dinner....
Disliked: Room was a little cold but being an old manor and a very large room this is expected.

Great hotel, staff and service....
Liked: Environment is calming and relaxing. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There was a great walk we did. The Spa area is great with excellent gym facilities
Disliked: The food was pretty basic but still nice enough

Liked: Everything was amazing, all staff were very polite and welcoming.I'm already planning to go back in summer.Only small thing is I wish there was more options for the vegetarian pick on the dinner menu. Spa centre was delightful.

Overall, a disappointing stay.
Liked: The grounds were lovely, the spa and pool were first class. The massage was awesome. The spa staff were very helpful. The hotel looked lovely with all the Xmas decorations.
Disliked: The cooked breakfast was not appetising at all. The scrambled egg was watery & the sausage tasted funny. Fruit salad was mainly granny Smith apples. Due to COVID we had to go down and buy drinks from the bar and take them up to our room and we were STILL charged room service fees for this, even though no one told us this would be the case. A room service fee for peanuts we never received and another room service fee for alcoholic drinks, even though there was no room service. Also. we weren't told that there was a special menu package with the room so ended up paying full price for our dinner. Not what we would expect from a Marriott hotel. The deluxe king room overlooked a wall. We paid a lot of money to stay and would have expected a better room for the price we paid.
