Nice hotel.
Liked: The property was downtown and close to the arena. Centrally located and the parking garage seemed secure and very convenient. It was unexpected but very much appreciated. Breakfast was really good but they could use a couple more waffle makers. Only two and the hotel seemed pretty full so there was a wait to make waffles. The room was clean and very comfortable but the hallways needed some attention. Overall this hotel was a pleasant stay for a weekend in Tucson. We would stay there again. We actually stayed two nights.
Disliked: The staff could be a little friendlier.

This was an excellent hotel...
Liked: This hotel is convenient to downtown and the historic section of Tucson. It's just across the street from St Augustine Cathedral and a short walk to Congress Street.. Congress Street has a few full service restaurants, several ice cream shops and bars. We took a walking tour of the city while there and it started just a few blocks from the hotel. The facility itself is immaculate. Several reviews mentioned the breakfast and it was very good and had many options. The hostess at breakfast was especially friendly and pleasant as was Lupita at the front desk.
Disliked: The gate to the parking garage did not open easily with the room key and we had to call for help each time we drove in or out of the garage. I watched other guests have the same issue. Front desk staff on the weekend was business like but not particularly friendly so I dreaded each time we had to ask for help. I felt their parking fees could have been more transparent. The guest ahead of us was billed $75 for one night of on street parking. It's $20 a night to park in the garage. The front desk person did not offer him this option. I opted for the courtyard view for our room. We were on the the third floor and while we did have a view of the cathedral and the mountains we also were on the same level as the outdoor terrace and needed to keep our shades drawn for privacy. So much for the view!!
