From the moment I walked into my room I was choking on stale cigarette smell. I double checked that it was in fact a non smoking room, but everything smelled of it. There were also several ashtrays in the room, which should be pointless in a NON smoking room. When I got home and emptied my overnight bags, my clothes just reeked of cigarettes.

Liked: Location; nice remodel.
Disliked: Non-smoking" room reeked of cigarettes and there were ashtrays in my room; no towels in the bathroom.

Liked: Clean room; friendly and helpful staff.

Liked: Room was nice and clean and fairly spacious.
Disliked: Very over priced for the quality of the hotel. Pool was so cold I couldnt swim in it. Smoke alarm went off at 5:19 am and then 5 min later due to a malfunction in the oven used to prepare breakfast.

Decent but not great

Liked: Great Toledo location. Quiet but close to area attractions. From lobby, looks nice, decorated simply and tastefully.
Disliked: Mostly an unresponsive staff. I sent two simple messages, one about amenities and the other about a late check in. These weren’t answered, and no one picked up the phone when I called. Never having seen the place, this made us nervous. Staff (except breakfast helper) were minimally attentive/pleasant. Bare bones housekeeping, a broken ice machine on our floor and low batteries in remote. No hair dryer in room, which I think of as standard for a chain like this. I was told that “we’re still in the changeover “ meaning Comfort inn bought the property from Hampton Inn. The smoke alarm went off at 5am and again at 5:20. Complete with bright strobe lights. Explanation? Kitchen oven was malfunctioning. Not very restful; no apologies.

Nightmare

Disliked: Indoor pool not heated, no towels available.Staff set off the fire alarm twice before sunrise, terrified my kids we had to leave.

Disliked: 8 fire drills through the night with no apologies. When we asked they gave us $20 off. Hardly worth it. Breakfast ended at 9 am. Never have I had one end that early. Would no go back!!

Disliked: The front desk clerk was terrible after 2 hours of me trying to get back into my reservation to edit it she finally tells me all I can just do it this way and get you in a room the room that I reserved wasn't available all they had was a handicap when I got in there they were bed bugs in the curtains and 4-year-old with me I tried to take her down to the pool where it says three feet deep it wasn't is for 4 ft deep so she couldn't get off the steps so she didn't get to swim either it also says that there are two pools there there's not they're little store snack area where you buy things didn't have anything in it I've had $140 for one night and I was so mad we had to leave at 5:30 in the morning because she got bit on the face and I got bit on my foot by bed bugs it was so terrible I've tried to get a refund I don't think I'm going to get one and I'm mad as hell
