Bad beds

Disliked: This was our annerversary getaway. To carve out time we can both do it and afford to at the same time is hard. We were so excited to stay because we have stayed in Hamptons before and love the beds and linens. My wife and I both have bad backs so we go with what we know. The bed in room 226 was so hard that we both woke up at like 4 am in pain. We asked to be switched to a different room but the gentleman said they were booked. After trying to work out our backs in hot showers we decided we couldn't stay there again Saturday and called our trip over after only rolling into Southport the previous evening around seven. And headed home If you need a hard bed this is a great place to stay. If you have bad backs with sciatica close wisely.

Disliked: Honestly it was one of the cleanest and best stays we have experienced.

A comfortable stay with personable...

Liked: The room was very comfortable; the staff were personable; the breakfast was EXCELLENT - we stayed for 6 nights and each day the buffet had a good variety. Lobby was clean and inviting; elevator worked; halls were clean and uncluttered.
Disliked: Road construction leading to Southport, NC - not the hotel's fault - no-to-little lighting on the roads leading to the hotel (Route 211). For some reason, people drive with their high beams and impunity - good luck getting to the town in the dark. Again, not the hotel's fault; it's the town/county - poor planning, no highway lighting.

Beach area getaway.

Liked: Very serene room, immaculate as well. Great smelling soap,too. Very reasonable, great value. Great coffee and nice breakfast. And, we could bring our dog ♡
Disliked: This was such a nice place to stay, not a complaint.

Disliked: Not honoring my reservation even when shown on my phone to desk clerk, who suggested I contact Booking. When I finally got through to Booking, I was on hold for 20 minutes before giving up. Who’s to blame? I wouldn’t know as, despite communication on my end, no one ever contacted me.
