My wife and I had a great stay at the Hampton Inn. They definitely had the best rate in the area. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the Powell BART station which is very convenient getting to and from the airport. The rooms are a little on the small side but manageable. The staff was very friendly and kind. I also would like to single out one employee, Daniel. He went above and beyond to make sure that we knew where everything was in the city, recommended some excellent restaurants, and made sure that our stay in San Francisco was great. I would give Daniel 6 stars. I highly recommend this hotel and I commend Daniel for a job well done.

Disliked: When I went online to make a reservation, I put in the search filters for "Airport Shuttle". So when I made this reservation, I thought they had airport shuttle, which they did NOT and I had to pay to get to their location.

Good but could be better...
Disliked: I had a T-shirt missed inside my room and I have no response in about 2 days of my request. All the hotel atendants were saying they were calling cleaning person, cleaning manager and even after 2 days nothing was communicated back to me.

Liked: Breakfast is very good! Breakfast area is on the 0 level, it was comfortable to eat there.
Disliked: The room is too little. We saw another room from the window. There is only valet parking at the back of the hotel ($60).

Great staff, good location, flet...
Liked: Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location good.
Disliked: Location due to homeless was a little bit sketchy in the evening and early morning due to the homeless problem in the area. The room was quite small, but I have experienced the room size issue in other cities. Due to the room size the room's furniture orientation the PTAC cooling unit's airflow blew directly on the bed making it quite uncomfortable. The unit also was very noisy.
