Liked: The room is clean. Very close to Little Italy and USS Midway Museum. Garage is OK.
Disliked: The breakfast itself is good but the space was too crowded and food went fast at around 9:00. Go for it earlier.

Downtown Hampton good for families
Liked: The room(suite) was spacious and clean. We brought family with us and it was a great room for us to get together and have meals in or just hang out.
Disliked: Our room had noises that made it hard to sleep. The fan for the heater and cooler had an intermittent clanking and there was no option to have it on all the time. There was a pool filter that clunked on for 15 seconds every 10 minutes or so. The windows did not insulate sound at all and there were people talking under our window at various times and a beeping sound from a forklift or something at 0230 one morning. We were in room 228, which otherwise was a very nice room. We told them about the noise. There was no similar room to move to. The elevators were barely adequate. They only had 1 or 2 functioning. We thought we would take the stairs, since we were on the second floor. There are 2 sets of stairs and both go directly outside. There is a door to the inside in one but it was locked. I think there should be an indoor way to use stairs. We asked way ahead of time to get rooms near each other and were told they were near each other. They were not very close,on opposite ends of the floor. People were smoking in the pool area repeatedly which made it unpleasant to be there.

Disliked: The female staff at front desk acted rude and took her time. I saw the maintenance guy was cleaning the the concrete around the pool using a water hose. and directing the dirty water into the poool then he disolved the dirt in the pool with the water hose. In other words he cleaned around the pool by using the hose and pushing the dirt and debris into the pool. He saw the dirt floating in the pool then he aimed the water hose to spread the dirt /decipate the dirt into the pool. He didnt care he wasnt going in there and neither was I after I saw this from the window in the upper floors.
