The Hampton Inn was perfect...

Liked: Everyone at the Hampton Inn was really helpful and made my travelling companion and I feel welcome. Jason at the front desk was a big help in getting us situated in Philly as it was the first time either of us had spent time in the city. The hotel was easy to get to from the airport via Uber/Lyft and the location is very close to Reading Terminal, a great location for food, as well as a host of restaurants and even a couple convenience stores so you'll never want for meals and snacks. Breakfast was standard continental fare and I'm really glad they had a hot tub for easing sore feet after walking around the city all day!
Disliked: If there's one truth to Philadelphia, it's this: Everyone's car horn works. And believe me, they'll test that fact every 30 seconds. The Hampton Inn could stand to utilize different windows to cut down on the street noise, especially with the massive convention center directly south creating a brick canyon for sound to bounce around. We were on the 5th floor and you could hear folks shouting down below.

Verified Hotel Guest Fri, 17 November 2017

Liked: I was in Philly for series of meetings, some in Center City, some in Univ City. It was only short walk to Septa station on Market Street or $9 cab ride to Univ City. Also a short walk to Reading Terminal Station.
Disliked: No, it was fine

Liked: The service was excellent. The front desk staff and the concierge were welcoming and accommodating for all of our needs
Disliked: the vending machines on most of the floors didn't work which was inconvenient but not a huge deal.

Liked: Location was very good and the breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful.
Disliked: There was a fire alarm at 12:30 am. We had to walk down and back up 10 flights of stairs. This was difficult for my cousin because she has bad knees and we are senior citizens. Turned out to be burned popcorn on the 3rd floor.
