Liked: The pool was nice.
Disliked: This place is so dirty. I didn’t know it was a dog friendly hotel when I booked. Got out of the elevator, and some lady let her dog poop right on the floor and kept walking. First room we originally booked was very dirty. Body hair left all in the tub. Second room we were moved to was slightly cleaner. The 5th 5th floor smelled just like a wet dog. It was so pungent and turned all of our stomachs immediately. The 7th floor not so much.

It was ok but for...

Liked: The breakfast was nice the room walls are so thin. I could hear a conversation being held in the room next door. For the price a low budget stay has more insulation.
Disliked: Pay for parking. Thin walls

Liked: Breakfast was nice for continental style. Loved being on the beach and the ocean side room was enjoyable.
Disliked: Very disappointed we couldn’t sit out in the pool area, all closed off and we weren’t given a heads up.Also I was given a higher price at the desk from what I reserved online. I was rudely told I did not read the fine print….I compared prices and taxes, fees, etc. so this was a ridiculous comment to be made to me. I was very surprised by this attitude.

Liked: I stayed in the King Suite and it was clean, spacious, comfortable and the temperature control was good. There is a laundry (washer & dryer) on the 7th floor, so there was no ice maker on that floor. I just had to go down 1 flight for ice. I asked ahead for feather pillow and it was no problem. The breakfast was terrific for this type of hotel, the bins were always kept full and your usual scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, bread selections and also yogurt, cereals, fruits etc. There was coffee in the lobby free for the taking day and night. The weather was not great (1st week of March, 2024) while I was there, but I can tell you this hotel has the only heated pool on Jax Beach (that I know of), maybe one or 2 others, but ask before you make reservations about that. There s also a heated jacuzzi. The outside tiki bar didn't open until 4pm, it could have opened earlier for people on vacation and playing at the pool, but it was closed on the cooler rainy days. Meanwhile, there is a bar with Happy Hour on the inside of the hotel.

Smells bad.

Liked: The hotel has a good location, the pool is nice, good free breakfast.
Disliked: The hotel smells like wet dog. I get they allow pets, however, contain them to a certain area. Hotel was dirty overall.Room was dirty and smelled like septic. Water was SMELLY!! Beds are old and linens were not clean. Very disappointing.
