Hampton Inn By Hilton Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District

OK. Safe and functional.

Liked: The room has the right things, bed is comfy. Shower is decent. The toiletries are decent. Breakfast is passable. Staff very helpful. Coffee and hot drinks all night downstairs. Gym has minimum equipment but good to have it.
Disliked: Very dated, bubble wall paper. Tiny room as NYC is. The top blanket on the bed looked 50 years old! The noise of air conditioning and from the street was all night - the windows must be very old. No laundry service.

Liked: Location, the wonderful staff and how nicely the hotel was designed.
Disliked: With one elevator there were some wait times during busy times.

Liked: Location very good near by they tourist places and reasonable price.
Disliked: Drinking water they didn’t provide the drinking water and need to get it from below.

Liked: I was very comfortable with the staff who also spoke Spanish. They were very attentive and nice. I appreciate them helping with my questions.
Disliked: I didn't have certain amenities in my room. Room was a little warm I had to change the temperature settings.

Substandard stay for an exorbitant...

Liked: The location - 5 minutes walk to Staten Island Ferry, South Ferry subway station and M55 bus stop to travel to Ellis & Liberty islands, Manhattan and rest of NYC; the breakfast - standard hot menu
Disliked: The King room - not spacious enough, not much space to store clothes; the temperature of the room - cool, heating could not be set to comfortable temperature, blankets provided not warm enough; the en-suite bathroom - faulty door lock that got jammed and had to be broken by the staff, inadequate flow of water from the shower; the neighbourhood - no shops or restaurants in close vicinity

Liked: Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown- Financial District is friendly and lovely hotel in a historic area of NYC close totransportation, restaurants, coffee shops and the Staten Island Ferry and sites.
Disliked: I liked everything.
