Liked: The room was clean and well appointed.
Disliked: There was excessive noise from the room above us and there wasn't enough food prepared for the number of people in the lobby for breakfast.

Overall Typical (Good) Hampton experience...

Liked: Location was good with many restaurants and shops nearby. Some are within safe walking distance Others separated from hotel by busy, multi-lane street.
Disliked: Our room on the second floor was next to the elevator which we could hear each time it stopped. The patrons above us on the third floor walked so heavily that it was a little like being inside a drum. (How do you do that:? our floor appeared to be concrete so I assume the same for the floor above.) The breakfast room space was poorly furnished and arranged for the number of breakfast patrons. It was large enough but the along-the-wall seating suffered from being to low and too long in the seat to allow for a comfortable seating while eating. Many of the chairs suffered similar design. The breakfast room was just not furnished to maximize the space. Therefore, when we arrived for breakfast around 9 AM there was no available table for us. Fortunately, a couple soon left and we took their table. There was only one waffle iron and this made for a serious bottle neck at this popular feature which was only exacerbated by the lack of user-available oil spray and every patron had to work hard to release his/her waffle without destroying it. When I mentioned it to one of the room attendants she commented that it had been sprayed to which I had to suggest that she observe the obvious evidence that, if so, it was inadequate. So she pulled out the spray and applied it to the iron.

Disliked: The room was dirty. The shower didn’t work well. Toilet flooded. We found a used condom
