Hampton Inn Jackson

I was very pleased with my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the continental breakfast the next morning. The location was great for being close to the fairgrounds where I attended an event. The only downside was getting back to the hotel late, there were not any food establishments close by.

Liked: The hotel was in very close proximity to the Jackson County Fairgrounds where I attended a concert event. The staff was courteous and helpful. The pool was a nice addition.
Disliked: Not close to any food establishments and only had a vending machine and continental breakfast.

New owner has promise value-wise,...

Liked: Staff was super-friendly and available. Will have some promise as a decent value oriented facility when the transition is complete.
Disliked: Breakfast was disappointment. With the transition from the previous owner to the new owner there were almost no-one staying at the hotel. Since this was previously a Hampton, the facility was in good shape and comfortable but starting to be a bit dated. I probably would have recommended not being open until the transition period was complete.

Clean, needs new mattress, broken...

Liked: Clean rooms and nice common area. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: Mattresses need updating. They are uncomfortable. Pool was closed for maintenance which was a bummer as we were travelling with kids. It would have been nice to know that before we booked. We would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

Disappointing and dirty.

Disliked: We were supposed to have two beds, but there was only one bed and a pull-out sofa bed which was very uncomfortable for my son. The sheets were wadded up in the closet and were stale/smelly. Overall, the room didn’t seem very clean and the breakfast in the morning had no sausage and the eggs weren’t real (powered?) which is kinda gross.
