Hampton Inn By Hilton Duluth Canal Park

We unfortunately had to leave the hotel early as we had a family emergency at home. We literally checked in and had to leave two hours later. Unfortunately, because we booked through a booking agency, we were unable to get any of our money back. I think this is a standard or policy that needs to be changed.

Good

what a relaxing 2 days...

Liked: Very Quiet and Comfortable
Disliked: The ONLY (and I mean ONLY) complaint we had, was the hair dryer was VERY loud and more like a child's toy. Other than that, this was the creme de la Creme

Otherwise great

Disliked: Under construction. UnderstandableBut leftBins and boxes on first floor by rooms. We stayed Wednesday through Friday. Nine and boxes cleaned up in Friday for grandmas marathon.

Nice stay

Liked: The facility was nice and perfect location
Disliked: The beds were uncomfortable...but hopefully it is part of their update.

Great location - close to...

Liked: Great hotel breakfast - super friendly and helpful breakfast staff.
Disliked: Need better outside hotel seating to enjoy the lake!

A nice place to stay!

Liked: It was a very good location. The people working there were very friendly and helpful. They were remodeling at the time we stayed there. It really wasn’t an inconvenience and there were many notices around the building that let us know. They offered bottled water which was really nice when coming in after walking around the area for a long time.
Disliked: When the elevator was out of order, one guest there that I did not know, had to ask me for help to figure out where the stairway was to get him to his floor.

The hotel was under renovation!

Liked: Great location by the lake.
Disliked: The entire floor they placed us on was under renovation. It smelled of glue and stale air, with a lot of noise and commotion. There was no mention of the renovation during the booking. This is poor and unacceptable.

Very good

Liked: Breakfast was good. The woman who was filling breakfast items was very pleasant. The hotel was pleasantly quiet! Really liked the bottled water available at the front desk.
Disliked: The only concern wasn't related to the hotel. Saturday evening when walking back to the hotel around 10:30 PM a car passed by and shot us with salt pellets. There was also a lot of riff-raff going on in the parking lot across from the Dewitz Seitz building. A bunch of kids in trucks. My wife I and I have been coming to Duluth for many years, and this is the first time I didn't feel safe in the park late in the evening. I h
