Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites St. Charles Old Town Area MO

Not bad..just quite underwhelming.

Liked: The girl who checked us in was nice..a little clueless about the area..well a lot clueless..but I didn't hold that against her.
Disliked: The staff just seemed indifferent except the girl who checked us in..she seemed to like her job...breakfast was atrocious...the ice room at the very end of hall, I don't walk well..so it was a hike. Lights were hanging from the wall unattached..and ice room had an odor...did mention the food was terrible and lady working there kinda indifferent..of course that's only an opinion..she might have just been preoccupied trying to keep everything stocked...area was very clean though...also WAY over priced with all the taxes and room charge....$368 for 2 days is ridiculous for what you get. Lastly.. driveway to enter property is actually UNMARKED...very steep, and horribly pot holes..it was the worst hotel parking lot ever..it's something you expect at an inner city motel that's rundown..

Great location and price

Liked: When we checked in, we were given the option of what floor we wanted to be on, which was nice. I know that is not always the case depending on how booked a hotel it. I thought it was reasonably priced. I also thought the bed and pillows were comfortable.
Disliked: We couldn't get the TV to work. I tried watching the free live TV, and it just kept loading.

Complicated check in

Liked: Convenient location from I70, comfortable room and good included breakfast
Disliked: Check in was very difficult. The property could not access my reservation even though I’d already paid. The staff was inflexible about this issue and condescending even though they admitted it was a problem on their end—this felt not great and poor customer service considering I’d already paid for the room and it was nonrefundable. It took nearly an hour to solve their issue and check in. I do not recommend booking this property unless you call/book with them directly.
