Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Springfield/Downtown

Expensive for what we got.

Liked: Room was clean, staff friendly.
Disliked: While the hotel was right off the highway, our room faced a carwash that played loud music. Also, the garbage truck picking up nearby garbage at 2:30 a.m. Monday woke us. Our phone did not work. Breakfast was so-so.

Superb

Liked: I liked everything about the hotel, employees were professional and polite, the breakfast was very good, only thing pool could be heated.
Disliked: Pool could be heated

Nice stay, comfortable bed, good...

Liked: Very comfortable bed.
Disliked: The pool was a little small and too cold.

Will not stay again.

Liked: The woman who was working the front desk was AMAZING. She was so nice and friendly. I also really like the women who were working breakfast. There was a HUGE group of kids who stayed, and they all ate breakfast and not once did food run out.
Disliked: For starters, my door on my tv console was broken upon arrival. When I went to take a bath, the drain didn’t close, it was broken, so I wasn’t able to do that. The bathroom door didn’t stay open when you shut it. The beds felt dirty and unclean. When I informed the staff working, they didn’t offer me anything for my stay.

Liked: There was not much to like about this hotel. Only good thing it was only 5 minutes from the Sheraton where my daughter had her event.
Disliked: Where do I start. First thing the air conditioning was poor. It was hot in the room no matter how low you made it. The elevator was not working the best and definitely needs some maintenance. They had no towels the one day. Breakfast was not the worst we had but definitely not the best either. The major issue was the smokey night when someone burned Mac and cheese in their microwave and the whole floor was filled with a nasty smell and their answer was it will clear up eventually. All the while I was sick to my stomach from the smell and had a headache. My husband had headache as well. Several of the nights we had been there the person next to my son's room was playing their music loud for hours and then decided to knock on my son's door and tell them his TV was to loud. Umm the whole darn floor could hear your music no one else could hear their TV. Kids running around the hall way knocking on doors saying House Keeping. This hotel was not the best in location or apperances. I will never stay here again. Not to mention they take 2 security deposits out of my account when I was told it was going to be 1. So now I wait to get my 500.00 dollar incidental deposit back. Stay some where else.

Liked: Hampton Inns are our go-to. Almost always reliably clean and comfortable.
Disliked: It would be nice to have comfortable seating for two guests.
