Great breakfast and location
Liked: The room size was good and the breakfast was excellent. Location was good, not far from the beach and shops. A microwave in the foyer was useful for heating up food for the nights we ate in.
Disliked: There was a loud and disruptive hotel staff strike and picket line outside and sometimes inside the hotel. This affected service in the hotel as our room was not serviced and rubbish piled up.

Left a lot to be...
Liked: Location and room were good. Staff were professional without seeming too interested
Disliked: The walls and floors are very thin so you hear everything from the rooms around you. The aircon unit is very loud. When we were there we used paper plates and plastic utensils in the breakfast room. This felt so cheap and nasty. The breakfast options were passable but not worth the price. It would've been better to go somewhere in town. There were eggs left in my fridge from the previous guest, or maybe the one before that. There was also a strike on by local staff. This group made an enormous amount of noise from about 7am waking my daughter and I up. They also walked around inside the hotel during breakfast and afterwards, again making an enormous amount of noise. It was an uncomfortable stay. I fully defend the right of staff to mobilise and take this sort of action but the hotel, if they were genuinely interested in the guest experience and value for money, should have offered us a discount. Despite making it clear the experience was not very good, and certainly not to the usual Hilton-associated standard, they did not offer a discount. Next time we will stay elsewhere

I definitely wished I stayed...
Disliked: The manager at the front desk was completely rude. I was given the wrong room than I originally booked 3 months prior to arriving for my stay. The manager told me I was lying, that I did not book a balcony room, even after I showed her the email from booking confirm the king balcony room. She told me since I booked off Booking.com, I needed to take it up with them. I travel all the time and this is the first time this is happened, and I always use Booking.com without issue. She again stopped me the next day to tell me it was not her fault I didn’t get the room I originally booked. This property is trashy. Not worth the headache. Employees need to learn proper customer service.

Would not stay again
Liked: Centrally located with beautifully designed hotel and room. Breakfast was great, staff were fantastic and valet service was ideal for our car.
Disliked: Striking employees chanting in front of the hotel starting at 6am every day really ruined our experience and woke up our child after what would otherwise have been a perfect stay. We were offered no explanation or forewarning about the loud noises. There was no safety issue at any time, just an annoyance. Pay your staff.
