We enjoyed Portland, we did...

Liked: The breakfast was good & the location ok. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Unfortunately the people in the room above ours had children who were very noisy well into the night then again very early the next morning. I complained at the front desk & they did offer to move us but as we were only there for 2 nights it was not convenient.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was...

Liked: Property was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: Front desk clerk was too busy to help with a booking issue. I booked through a third party. I was told I had to call them directly. I was completely fine with that. I called the third party booking company and asked the front desk clerk if she would talk to them. She kept saying she couldn’t help me. She also stated they called her several times but hung up on her. She continued to tell me she couldn’t help me. She would not stop what she was doing to have a face to face conversation with me. I walked away and told her she was terrible at customer service which she yelled down the hall “I can’t help you”. I ended up cancelling my second night and booking at another Hampton. I felt as if I was the employee and she was a disgruntled patron. A little compassion goes a long way.

It was disgusting and we...

Liked: The staff was helpful in giving us a refund when we chose to leave because it was disgusting.
Disliked: There was a drug addict passed out by the front door when we arrived. The toilet had urine on the seat and there was dirt and hair in the bed. We checked out immediately and asked for a refund. There was a truck with two more druggies passed out in the parking lot.

Great stay

Liked: Comfortable bed, great staff, nice breakfast and good value.
Disliked: Breakfast/eating area could have been tidier, but only one person and very crowded. Not in the downtown area but also price lower and easy parking. Within 10 minutes.

Good stopover place for the...

Liked: Location was convenient to the mall and big box stores across the street. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: But even though they are 'across the street' you probably need to drive there. There is a signalized intersection with pedestrian signals though. Place was a bit expensive, but I guess that was because we were in the peak of the 'on' season

Great hotel with TERRIBLE evening...

Liked: Great large room. We always wipe our room down with Clorox wipes on arrival and the room was very clean. Fairly quiet considering the highway just a few hundred feet away.
Disliked: Breakfast was marginal. Burnt omelets and white chicken sausage not very appetizing. We try to minimize carbs and with marginal protein it was an overall not great experience. I did have a banana each day. I tried to thank the breakfast service staff person but he was too busy to hear me with his earbuds in EVERY day and on the phone most of the time.THE WORST of our stay? The evening young lady our first two nights (July 7 & 8). Did not get her name but she had a large upper chest tattoo and very nice manicured and decorated nails. We had been on the road for 7 days and had to do laundry. I asked her for quarters and she told me she did not have $6 worth and that I may want to put off doing laundry as she did not have enough change for the wash and dry! Really, a Hampton with a laundry and not enough change? I asked her where I might get change and she replied that the banks were closed so I would have to wait to do laundry! Totally wrong answer! I asked her about some stores I noticed on our arrival and she said I could try there. So, I googled laundromats and there was one less than a half mile away! I drove there and got $10 worth of quarters from the change machine. Back at the Hampton in less than 15 minutes. Upon my return to the hotel I stopped at the desk to inform her of the very nearby laundromat, so close by for change for others in the future and she said, "Okay"! Couldn't care less. Worthless individual, no customer service skills whatsoever! We realize night time staff may be hard to get but she does your property no favors! And why do you not stock $50 in quarters if you have a washer dryer on site? Photo of the chair in our room attached, disgusting! Otherwise nice hotel and you won't spend 10 minutes cleaning a disgusting chair?Nice modern facility managed poorly (especially for $755.02 for 3 nights)!

Expensive for the quality. Would...

Liked: Easy to access location, lots of food choices nearby. We were there for a Portland Sea Dogs game and it was about 15 minutes to the stadium.
Disliked: Breakfast options were limited. The floor in our room, both carpet and tile were weirdly sticky. The chair at the desk was covered in stains. Laundry room was one moldy washer and one dryer for $3 each. I thought the hotel was overpriced for the quality.
