Liked: My ratings for breakfast, room cleanliness, and bed comfort is based on price. For the price I think this hotel did a great job. Breakfast food could have been better but you have to consider the price charged for the breakfast. Overall the food was very good and given the price it was excellent. The exercise room offered a good selection of machines. The lobby offered snacks for sale. There is a convenience store within a 5 minutes walk. Plus the in-room refrigerator was really cold. They also offered ice machines near the elevator door. Given the hot-humid weather in Alexandria VA the refrigerator was a bonus. I was visiting George Washington's Mount Vernon and this was one of the closest hotels. There was plenty of space for me to unpack my luggage. I was able to spread my things out and access them quickly.
Disliked: My room was a long walk from the elevator. A really long walk. My room was located in the far end of the hotel from the entrance. I would have liked a screened window to let in fresh air. The ventilation system had a lot of circulation of airflow, so there was no problem. Air conditioner would come on, then turn off, and alternate between on & off mode. When the air conditioner was on it was on-full-blast mode, and you felt it. Wish it had a low, medium, and high setting.
