The rescuing of Mr. P

Liked: The staff was super. My wife could not find ANY issues with the room(the room was great...she nitpicks). We just reached our next destination...NJ..and we realized she did not pack Mr. P.(. A stuffed penguin I gave her 40 years ago.)..I called and Victoria was very compassionate and took a look. She found Mr. P She will be sending him out as soon as possible.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...your staff is outstanding..And Victoria saved the day. Thank you!! Dave & Bev Kruk

Disliked: I did not like the cleaning routine. Every 3 days when I’m staying 4 nights is crap. I had to wait for towels all the time. It took 3 days for our garbage in the room to get cleaned.

Convenient Location, Relatively Pricey

Liked: It was a convenient location for my travel buddy and me to spend a night before heading south on I-95. We did not do any shopping at the outlets, but did have a nice dinner and ice-cream without having to drive far (Robert's Maine Grill and Mrs. & Me; the latter's "kiddie scoop" was bigger than a baseball). The hotel seemed to be in good shape. Our room was spacious, quiet, and clean. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated having hooks to hang things in the bathroom and in the room. (It always surprises me that so few hotel rooms have hooks, especially in the bathroom.) The staff was friendly, especially the woman who offered to heat up my oatmeal (the last portion of the morning). The breakfast buffet was pretty standard -- in addition to oatmeal, there were cheese omelets, sausages, waffles, yogurt, toasts, apples, bananas, etc. Nonetheless, it was convenient to have a filling breakfast before we hit the road.
Disliked: I prepaid for our stay, but the hotel charged me again by mistake when we checked out. The manager did respond quickly when I notified them of the error. Just waiting for the refund to show up on my credit card statement. For obvious reasons, Maine hotel rates are high in the summer. All things considered, I am unlikely to return to this hotel. What I paid for my stay was comparable to a business class hotel in Tokyo or Amsterdam. NOT AN ISSUE, MORE AN FYI: The hotel is right off US Route 1, but it may not be easy to spot because it is a bit tucked away (which a plus in my book).

Staff was very nice and...

Liked: The Buffett, the pool, the staff rooms were decent size.
Disliked: I didn’t like that I had to wait until almost 4:30 to check in because our room was not ready which made us lose out on where we wanted to go for dinner. Also the shower had rust in the corner and the refrigerator was not all the way clean. The beds were so uncomfortable.
