Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Des Moines Downtown

Nice hotel conveniently located by Des Moines Civic Center, etc.

Liked: The room was nice and the breakfast had a nice variety.
Disliked: The pool. The chlorine was too high and complaints were ignored.

Liked: Great location for the downtown restaurants and river.

Liked: Hotel overall nice and clean that’s very importantelevator smelled good, rooms were incredible clean Staff member Alexandra was super nice and extremely attentive during our stay!
Disliked: just please don’t change anything it has been one of our best experiences honestly

Great location, kinda dirty and...

Liked: Staff was terrific. Location was terrific. (We attended an Iowa Cubs game and it was a short walk).
Disliked: Curtains and carpet had debris and dust. No USB charging area. Pool was out of order. You had to leave the facility to use a pool which was insanely busy since it was in another hotel.

Disappointing

Liked: The room was very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable.The breakfast was great
Disliked: The Whirlpool and the showers were cold. I had just driven 14 hours. My back and my knees were killing me. I wanted to go soak in a hot Whirlpool, and it was cold. So I gave up to go take a hot shower. It was cold. I basically had 3 things. I needed that day a hot shower, a hot Whirlpool. In a nice bed, I got the nice bed. The rest was unacceptably cold.

Liked: Location was perfect and breakfast was amazing! Staff was perfect!
Disliked: I wish we could have been notified the pool would be closed the entire time
