This is a great hotel...

Liked: I stay in a lot of hotels, and have only ever written one review before - it's just not my style. But here we go. Breakfast was great. For the money it was awesome. I mean - it's not going to earn a Michelin star anytime soon, but I found something to eat. I've paid $35 for a worse hotel breakfast. The room was an excellent size and very well laid out. I even had an interesting view. Top marks. Location is fantastic and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were also excellent. I totally understand people giving this hotel full marks.
Disliked: But there was one BIG problem. My room STANK of dog. It was vile. I couldn't get clean - it seemed worst in the bathroom and shower. The smell permeated everything in my suitcase, and I feel like I now have fleas, although that's probably my imagination. I couldn't wait to get out of there, and hardly slept at all. Clearly the people staying in my room before me - 442 for those playing at home - had the most disgusting, smelly, dirty, foul, vile mutt ever to walk on the Earth. And they must have stayed there for a month, so entrenched was the smell. Back in the olden days you weren't allowed to take your dog to a hotel - because dogs stink. In this new world, where sharing your room with your gross canine is fine, a hotel really needs to thoroughly deep clean the room afterwards, not just sweep a bit of bathroom cleaner over the floor. If you're going to allow dogs in your hotel and not clean it properly then people aren't going to stay there. I still feel sick and I will never ever come back.
