Less than impressed with customer...

Disliked: Internet lines were down all evening so no WiFi, tv or the bar couldn’t sell food. When checking in she indicated this and I asked if they were giving reduced rate and she said no but proceeded to tack on another $75 for a 10# non shedding dog!! If we weren’t so darn tired we would have left

DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM unless...

Liked: The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was great. Front desk at check in was juggling a million requests and handled it calmly and joyfully. The suite is large and roomy.
Disliked: We were unable to contact the hotel all day to cancel our booking as our plans had changed last minute, but still within an hour of booking. Come to find out at checkin (late, around 9pm after an event we were working at) their phone lines were down but they would not honor our request because it was made through booking.com and not them. The room we selected was only available on booking.com so we had no choice. The front desk told me to call them to cancel. Booking.com now uses AI for phone support and it’s impossible to have an issue resolved as it loops the same answer over and over. Unfortunately although the front desk was sympathetic to the situation, she wasn’t any more helpful and I just gave up and stayed the night as it was a good bit of money to waste if they refused to work with me. I’m no stranger to travel or booking.com, having spent over 20 years in the airline industry traveling. This was all beyond absurd in the amount of energy and money wasted all day trying to reach the hotel, and then being sent to booking, who by the way was replying to my online message requests with emails saying it was up to the hotel to cancel. Totally confusing and unacceptable. In addition, I believe the description states the pool is heated. While the indoor area is, the water was too cold for even my very excited children to enjoy.
