Great and close to old...

Liked: It was good. Waffle station and fruit choices were great
Disliked: Wish I had known the pool was closed. But at least there was a clean bathtub

Liked: The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the 2 female staff members we interacted with at check-in and check-out were friendly and hospitable.
Disliked: Very disappointed that we weren’t informed prior to our arrival (or at booking) that the hotel is being renovated, and therefore the pool and hot tub were not working. Families book this hotel for the location as well as the amenities. Had I known, I wouldn't have mentioned the pool to my daughter, and left the bathing suits at home. Considering the price of our stay, I feel it would have been nice to get a courtesy call about this ahead of time. It’s disappointing that we will consider other hotels in the future. We go to Sturbridge annually, at least.

Good hotel, bad room

Liked: The breakfast was very good. The hotel is clean and modern. Staff was outgoing
Disliked: Although the room was very nice, they put us in the first room off the lobby. Everything the sliding door opened it made our room very loud. We got almost no sleep.

I thought this place was...

Liked: The Hampton Inn at Sturbridge is super convenient to several highways. Breakfast was more than adequate. The desk person that checked us in at 10:30pm, was extraordinarily pleasant and welcoming, kudos!
Disliked: The only nit i can pick is pillow cases were so new, they had a rough or slightly "plastic" feel. I'm sure it's some kind of coating that aids in sanitary washing...?
