Rude maintenance worker kicked us...

Liked: My parents, my husband, my daughter, and myself went to the pool area, I was not swimming, I was just sitting and hanging out while the others were swimming, there was no sign about having drinks in the pool area, we were not informed at checkin and walked right by an employee with our drinks into the pool. We were there for about 30 minutes, we opened our drinks and were sitting around the hot tub when a maintence worker came in and walked by us saying didn’t you all see the sign about no drinks in here, we were sitting in the hot tub just with our feet, we looked around and literally couldn’t find a sign about it, we didn’t know if he meant in the hot tub or the pool area in general. So everyone got out of the hot tub to finish our drinks. The maintenance guy then came back in after like 5-10 minutes and told us we pretty needed to get out because we were breaking a rule of no drinks. My husband then argued that there was no sign around and the worker said well there’s construction going on a nd the sign was taken down. So we were like well we didn’t know because the sign was taken down, he acted like we should’ve known and told us it was a Hampton rule. We have been traveling all over the state since November for USAG gymnastics, and have stayed in two other Hamptons, and never once have we been told or seen other people be told that they couldn’t have drinks in the pool area. Not once have we experienced or seen other people be told they needed to leave the pool area because of having drinks. We then just got up and left, my husband confronted the front desk about it that if they were enforcing something like that then a sign needed to be placed, they continued to say well it was taken down for construction. How is that fair to guests? And then to say it was Hampton rule was bogus. I think someone on the staff needs to be talked to about the way we were treated and I’m sure how others could’ve been treated for taking a drink into the pool area.

Disliked: There should be curtains for the window because some people come in late and sleep later in the morning.
