Liked: Breakfast was great every day.
Disliked: Trolley stop… too close, too loud and runs all the time!! Elevators were under “repair”.. didn’t know this until a day prior to arrival and never saw any work being done. Had to go through the front office and down back hallway to get to the stairs! Had NO idea how to get to the stairs unless you ask staff. Good thing g there wasn’t a fire…

Best value for your money,...

Liked: Best value for your money- half the price of other hotels in the area. Great downtown location near the bay, restaurants, and is just a short drive to Balboa park. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and parking was secure. Being downtown San Diego, I thought there would be more unhoused people, but I was pleasantly surprised by how few I saw and how safe the area seemed. I definitely would recommend for families or anyone looking to enjoy Downtown San Diego without spending an arm and a leg.
Disliked: I don’t have any complaints. Being from Texas my kids thought the room was freezing cold. I think the AC was set to 62 degrees, California and Texas have a different idea of hot and cold. We were able to turn it up to 70 and all was well.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. For example, the pool area ran out of clean towels, and the front desk staff took care of it immediately. Breakfast was excellent - a great variety of options for all my kids. Great location - could walk to the embarcadero, playground right across the street, tons of great restaurants nearby, and easy access to balboa park
Disliked: Elevator is under renovation, which we didn'trealize till we were on our way - would have been helpful to have more clear signage about which set of stairs went to lobby, etc.
