The Spotlight on Hampton Inn By Hilton Raleigh/Cary

Comfort Meets Convenience Just Minutes from the Stage

Modern, clean, and welcoming, the Hampton Inn By Hilton Raleigh/Cary offers a relaxed stay in Cary, NC—just 7.8 miles from the energy of PNC Arena. This 3-star hotel combines Southern hospitality with practical perks like free WiFi, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a spacious fitness center. It’s the kind of place where you can recharge before and after a big show without breaking your budget.

Why Concert-goers love it

With PNC Arena less than 15 minutes away and the North Carolina Museum of Art and downtown Raleigh nearby, this hotel keeps you close to the action without the downtown noise. The 24-hour front desk makes late check-ins a breeze, and the peaceful suburban location is perfect for winding down after a loud, late night. Plus, free parking and proximity to the airport (just 14 miles away) make logistics simple for travelers.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for an affordable launchpad for their concert night.
Solo travelers flying in to check an artist off their bucket list.
Couples turning a show into a romantic weekend.
Fans who want a quieter space to crash after the encore.
Budget-conscious music lovers who still want quality and convenience.

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, the hotel has a handy snack bar for quick bites and drinks. A free hot breakfast is served daily—perfect if you were out late the night before. Plenty of casual dining and late-night options are just a short drive away in Cary and Raleigh.

Nightlife Options

This isn’t a party hotel, but you’re not far from the nightlife of downtown Raleigh, where bars, lounges, and live music spots buzz after the show. Prefer something more low-key? Grab a drink from the snack bar and unwind on the hotel’s sun terrace.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s cleanliness, friendly staff, and quiet, convenient location. Many reviewers mention how easy it is to get to concerts and appreciate the free parking. The beds are often described as comfortable, and the included breakfast gets solid marks.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests noted the lack of dining options within immediate walking distance, so having a car is helpful. The pool is seasonal, so don’t expect a swim in colder months. A few rooms could use minor updates, but nothing that takes away from a solid stay.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a clean, affordable, and quiet place near PNC Arena, Hampton Inn By Hilton Raleigh/Cary hits all the right notes.

Dirty, grimy, never again

Liked: Location is good if you need to be on X-ray but there are much better places.
Disliked: This place is so dirty. It needed to be remodeled 10 years ago. The furniture is old. Hallways are grimy. The whole place is just dirty. Toothpaste matks on the mirror in the room. Slow flushing toilet with bad water pressure.

Good location but property requires...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Upon arrival, we encountered several issues, including an inoperable elevator, a non-functional ice maker, and a necessity to transport our luggage via the stairs. The exterior stairwell had an unpleasant odor.

Shabby hotel

Liked: Free parking
Disliked: Shabby hotel, found a dirty towel of previous guests still in the room, staff was bored and seems to find it a lot of work to book me in. Breakfast was very limited

Horrible.

Liked: Nothing other than it was close to my business meeting.
Disliked: First room I was given smelled like smoke. This room was on the fifth floor and one of the elevators was not working. By the time I left the facility a couple days later none of the elevators were working. Therefore, this facility is definitely not ADA compliant. Rooms were dingy and there was the added bonus of a fire alarm due to the elevators. Finally, when checking out, I was told they would email me my receipt. I had to call a couple of weeks later but now the story changed because the lady I spoke to called “Zozora” all of a sudden said that the facility cannot give me a receipt and that I’d have to reach out to Booking.com. How can a hotel not have records of my stay won’t be able to give him my own receipt? Stay somewhere else.

Liked: The desk staff fixed booking.coms major mess up
Disliked: I didn’t like being completely mistreated by booking dot com and the help associate I spoke on the phone with. You cancelled a reservation after sending me a confirmation and after spending hours messaging and on the phone with a booking dot com agent who promised a fix. Unacceptable

Very grimy, dirty, outdated; never...

Liked: Location is good; property is awful.
Disliked: Dirty. Looked like a class of preschoolers had been bathed in the tub. I wouldn’t even take a shower because I had no water proof shoes. Full length mirror—dirty, like someone had been flossing their teeth and splattered toothpaste and saliva all over it. The entire property has a grimy dirty feel to it, obviously has not been remodeled n many years. I Stayed here about ten years ago and it was old and dated then. This property needs to lose its right to use the Hilton*Hampton name. It’s just plain dirty with a n ugly, yellow hue the lighting, filthy carpeting and walls, doors, etc. The LaQuinta nearby is much cleaner. I would never have stayed here had I known how dirty it is.
