Liked: Hampton Inn. My go to for a cheap and consistent good quality hotel. Love the breakfast spreads, rooms are always spotless, semi modern, great amenities (pool, gym, laundry). 6 am breakfast is wonderful. Good location near Garden of the Gods. Don't go in expecting a 5-star resort and you'll learn that HI is the best mix for affordable hotels.
Disliked: Only thing I consistently get annoyed at with are HI's pillows. No loft.

Good place to stay for...

Liked: The breakfast was great. There were a lot of hot and cold options. The breakfast area was well stocked. The mattresses were in good condition. Overall the room was clean and well-appointed. We requested rooms close together: 2 rooms out of 3 were close together; the other was on another floor.
Disliked: I was disappointed that there weren't any hangers in the room, only 3 hooks to hang my clothes on. There wasn't a stand to put my suitcase on. Also, the room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The lighting wasn't very good either - no ceiling lights.
