Disappointing

Liked: We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 8 years. The last two stays have not been pleasant.
Disliked: One weekend we stayed for one night and the hotel did not have hot water. The hotel did call and notify us the night before our reservation. Unfortunately, the other hotels in town were booked. I understand things come up, however when I attempted to discuss concerns with manager my calls were never returned. We had the following weekend booked for two nights. We had assumed that in the week since our last stay the water would have been fixed. We did not hear from the hotel until we were checking in, that in fact they still did not have hot water. We received no heads up and once again other hotels in the area were booked. While there for two nights we asked for two additional towels. My husband was in the shower and was using the towel we had. Housekeeping was outside our room and I asked for two towels. She reluctantly gave me two while demanding I give her two. I explained that my husband was using the shower and I could not get them. A little later the front desk called and told us that we needed to return our towels?! When we said we were trying to get showers out of the way quick since we were all taking cold showers, she very rudely said “you were told at check in you wouldn’t have hot water”. I was told once again to reach out to the same manager if we had any issues. I was told both weekends she was not available and after attempting to call during the week my call was never returned. My biggest concern with not having hot water for at a minimum of a week I can’t fathom how the laundry including bedding, can be washed and sanitized. My other concern was how they were still serving breakfast without having the hot water for handwashing and sanitizing. Again, these are concerns that I would’ve brought to the attention of the manager if a return call had ever been made.

Disliked: We did not stay at the Hampton Inn in Kilgore. The Inn did not have hot water. We stayed on down the road at Comfort iInn. Please release our prepaid reservation with Booking.com.

Disliked: Ice machine was out of order and getting a housekeeper to empty trash was impossible you the guest had to empty your own trash and the biggest turn off was the shotty wi fi it was off much of the day it would come on late at night and stay on for about 6-10 minutes I complained to the young staff that just blu me off saying they reset the switch then just gave up trying to fix the problem and the only way u could get a bottle of water was to purchase it from the front desk and the only water fountain was in the breakfast area they kept locked up only access was between the hours of 6am to 10am soooooo crazy.
