Comfortable stay
Liked: Comfortable bed. Towels provided at pool. Aircon in room was good and quiet. Not far from space centre.
Disliked: Minimal local food locations

My overall stay was good....
Liked: Breakfast was average. I would have like more fruit options.
Disliked: I thought the room cost was pricy. I was not ask if I was apart of Hilton Honors club. Nor discounts offered for senior citizens. No offers or incentives to save money.

Bad
Disliked: Hands off – total rip-off! We booked this hotel as part of a road trip through Texas and stayed for a total of 3 nights. The first impression was okay. There was no view from the room, as we were right behind the Hampton Inn sign (we accepted that and didn’t feel like repacking our suitcases to ask for a different room). The breakfast was basic, but the atmosphere was friendly, and when we were looking for quarters for the washing machine, the girl at the front desk made an effort to help us after the third time we asked. So all in all: you get what you pay for.But the real blow came about half an hour after checking out. We were informed via booking.com that two comforters were supposedly missing from our room. $400 extra charged to our bill. We – a German family with two small children on our way to a cruise ship in Galveston – were completely taken aback and felt powerless in the face of this baseless accusation. We’ve never experienced anything like this on any of our travels! Multiple attempts to contact the hotel by phone and email – even through the Hilton parent group – led nowhere: either we received no response, were told it wasn’t their responsibility, or just got the same message again claiming the two bedsheets were missing.With the $400 tacked onto the bill, the stay was a terrible value for money. Treating guests is absolutely outrageous. So: hands off – look for another place to stay, hopefully with more honest staff!

Very nice hotel close to...
Liked: Very nice hotel, clean and well kept except for outdoor lawn and bushes
Disliked: Lawn and bushes need trimming bad. Maybe an automatic sprinkler system will help.
