Liked: The location of the hotel in conjunction with our final destination, as well as the ease of access back onto the highway made this a great hotel for our traveling needs. Right outside the private-ish road was a CVS, gas station, Dunkin Donuts, as well as a small shopping plaza. The area was relatively quiet and away from the main road which allowed for a more secluded feel rather than stepping outside right into the middle of a city. Coming from a more country oriented locale this made me feel more at ease while sleeping.
Disliked: My immediately issue with this building is the elevators from one floor to the next. There are 2 elevators for the whole building that appeared not to have been properly maintained. The wires pulling on the cars made a lot of uncomfortable sounds, the elevators themselves felt very shaky, and when you finally reached your designated floor the cars would make an abrupt yet violent shaking motion as it appeared to be locking in place. I limited my travel from our room to the ground floor as much as possible due to this uncomfortable elevator ride.Another issue I had was the washing/drying situation on each floor. I have traveled much of the continental United States at this point, and I have stayed at other Hampton Inns; however, this was the first Hampton in which I stayed the night where there was a single set of washer and drying machines per floor. Seeming how we arrived late into the evening and had to leave first thing in the morning, we were unable to wash our clothes due to an already established line waiting to use the machines. This is absolutely unacceptable in my personal opinion.Lastly, the morning breakfast had quite a bit of food. There was enough to make me actually impressed upon initially arriving for breakfast. They had eggs, "sausage," and potatoes, as well as your standard pancake mix, cereal, bagels, and juice bar. However, the heated food had little to no flavor giving me the same feeling as if eating a frozen TV dinner. The one food that had flavor was the "sausage," but this tasted more like SPAM than actual sausage which was very disappointing.
