Won't return to this hotel
Liked: Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: Front desk girl at 1445 on 5/17 was rude. She wouldn't let me tell her the emails I received then yelled at me twice saying I needed to quit interrupting and I didn't want to hear her explanation. I walked out on her.When I returned to check in much later, was not told about $100 fee, not given breakfast hours or how you get on internet. Didn't realize hotel allowed pet. I don't choose pet friendly hotels. Availability on this weekend was slim. Toilet didnt flush properly; ice machine didnt work. No refrigerator? NEVER been in a hotel that doesn't provide one.

The hotel is in need...
Liked: I didn’t like anything about the rooms. It had a bad smell and the carpet was very dirty.
Disliked: I didn’t like the rooms it had a bad smell and the carpet was very dirty. I went to a different room and it was a bad smell and the carpet in that room was dirty as well. Need a lot of cleaning and up grade.

Liked: The staff was great…they were very nice and courteous Breakfast was great
Disliked: Outdated rooms/ facility Rips in wallpaper/ old shower/bathroom Loud heater

PRO: Proximity to OSF Medical...
Liked: Reception staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, was well-stocked, and the coffee was hot and delicious.
Disliked: The grungy carpeting throughout the facility - common areas and rooms - did not inspire confidence as to the overall cleanliness of the property. Room was dark and dingy. Mattress was unsupportive and lumpy, leading to a poor night's sleep. Having found a bed bug on top of the bed spread during a previous unplanned stay here a couple years ago, I was hoping the rooms had been renovated/updated since then. Unfortunately, they had NOT. I suppose this lack of upkeep/maintenance is part of the reason it's the least expensive option within a couple miles of the hospitals.
