After speaking to a couple of others at the hotel, we found out that the manager was contacted about the elevator around 7:30pm that night. When we arrived at the hotel around 8:45pm, we walked into the hotel and went directly to the elevator. There was no sign on it saying not to use it. We got in, pushed the button and it immediately got stuck between floors. We pushed the alarm and the call buttons inside the elevator and none of them worked. We then began to bang on the door. The elevator repair man was still on the premises from the earlier incident. Others outside the elevator contacted him and he worked for several minutes until he was able to pry the door open and allow us to jump down out of the elevator onto the floor below at which time we carried our bags up the steps to the third floor. I made a complaint at the front desk the next morning when we checked out. The man at the desk said there would be a refund of our money for that night's stay, but I have not seen anything yet. The issue that really bothered me was that there were no signs or communication to the visitors that the elevator was not working. I think it is very unprofessional and disrespectful to visitors to have no regard for their safety. I am expecting an email or a phone call within the next day or I will be calling to make a complaint to the next highest person in charge.
Liked: The room was clean.
Disliked: We got stuck in the elevator after a long day at a dance competition. I was with my thirteen year old daughter who became very panicked when we got stuck.

A quiet place to sleep...
Liked: Friendly and accommodating night staff. Room was clean.
Disliked: Toilet in room was broken, had to change rooms. Room key wouldn’t work on the pool door so we weren’t able to swim. Day staff (manager?) didn’t seem to care when informed. The breakfast food was worse than a school cafeteria.

Disliked: I didn't like that I made a reservation for 1 and when I arrived it wasn't available. I was waiting for more than an hour and it wasn't available and I had to go to another hotel.

I was lucky I only...
Liked: Not much-grass was overgrown, front entrance did not look well kept. We did smell disinfectant when we walked in, so we were hopeful-did not meet our Hampton Inn expectations!
Disliked: Grass not cut, overgrown and weedy. Floor were dirty. The room was awful-cabinets that were falling off, bathroom door did not close, floors were disgusting-I kept my shoes on! The loveseat was dirty. I was so happy when we were able to leave. I will never go to this Hampton again.

Poor
Liked: Continental breakfast was good.
Disliked: Fire alarm was pulled many times including at 4:00 AM. Hallways were very stuffy and hot and not very clean. Parking was limited. In our room a drawer to the night table would not stay shut. TV was difficult to figure out, needing to use 2 remotes .

Would definitely stay again.
Liked: We had Amanda check us in. Our room air conditioning was not working properly and it was almost 100 degrees outside. I explained to Amanda about the issue and she never hesitated for a second to say " well, we cant have you in a hot room". She was so very kind and put us in another room. Great customer service, Amanda! Our room.and stay were perfect.

Superb
Liked: The bed was one of the best we've slept in, in the various trips we've taken.I have mobility issues, and the bed and bathroom were appropriate to meet my needs.
Disliked: This is a suggestion and not a dislike. There are a number of grab bars that can help facilitate movement. If another was added above the toliet paper this would help with getting up and/or balancing.
