Loud

Liked: The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: The lobby was being remodeled and dust was everywhere. We were put in the room right beside the elevator, very noisy! Someone was put in the room directly above us, so we also had to listen to that stomping. The hotel wasn't full by any means, and there were plenty of other rooms we could have been put in. Noone likes being right beside the elevator.

Disliked: After checking in room, discovered sink would not drain and sink was leaking on floor underneath!!!!!!Called front desk and was told that there was nothing that could be done until next day!!!!!!!Front desk man said that we should mention all this when checking out and that the hotel would "do something" for us for our difficulties and inconvenience - nothing was done - only got an apology after asking for one!!!!!!!

Not quite up to Hampton...

Liked: The location and staff were excellent.
Disliked: The hotel was under renovation and some amenities (fitness center, e.g.) were not available. While the inconveniences were relatively minor, I still felt that the accommodation was overpriced for the condition of the property. (I base this on my experience as a very satisfied Hampton customer of many year's standing).

An okay stay. Comfortable beds

Liked: I liked the room. It was pretty clean and the beds and blankets were comfortable. The shower stayed warm for 3 of us in a row. It wasn't too noisy from our room. We could hear cleaning first thing in the morning, but mostly quiet.
Disliked: The hotel was in the middle of a renovation, which I understand, however, there was paper covering the floors and people working in the pool hallway and workout room, making these areas unaccessible. The breakfast did not have much variety, only a few hot items and cereal or bread. I was disappointed that there wasn't more options such as yogurt, fruit, or more cereal. The front desk attendants were not rude, but they weren't very polite or welcoming. Also, due to the renovations, half of the parking lot and a main hallway were blocked. I would have rather spent a little more and been closer to downtown. It may have been better without the renovations going on.
