Go somewhere else
Disliked: We had zero hot or warm water and had to take cold showers. I heard a man, who was checking out, say he took a cold shower and wanted a discount then he was told no problem. When I also brought up the same at check-out, I was told no problem as well. Bc I did the reservation through Booking, I was informed Booking would have to do the refund by contacting the hotel. I put in my complaint with Booking over a week and a half ago and the hotel still hasn't confirmed anything.

my stay was fine, but...
Liked: It's time for a remodel. The hotel is in a great location, but it seems to be tired and showing wear and tear. I will stay somewhere else next time.

Decent enough for a quick...
Liked: The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: I wish I’d known the property was going through renovation before booking. We had to move rooms because of a plumbing issue, but experienced additional electrical and plumbing issues while there.

Disliked: A total dump of a property. We have stayed at Hampton Inns.Probably a hundred timesI've been staying at Hampton's for years. This was the absolute worst property i've ever been on. To start. I arrived and requested a room away from the elelevator. They didn't know the map of the rooms and gave us a room closest to the elevator. That was fine so I went back down and requested another room. They obliged and gave me another room. The seccond room was apparently stayed in by a dog or person who decided to urinate in the room. It was absolutely disgusting. Complete and overwhelming smell. I don't know how that was ever passed up or ignored. The owners obviously don't care about the property or the guests. At that point, my wife had arrived. We were getting ready to just leave and change our plans. The hallways, elevators and common areas were horrible as well. I talked to the amazing James at the front desk and he got us a third room. 2 hrs of our life wasted at that point. Went to the 3rd room and the keyless entry didn't work. 30 min later they finally were able to replace the battery so we could get in. I can't believe Hampton let's a property get so disgusting, and uncared for. My Mom used to work for you in RI. They used to be a great choice for a great and consistantcy. I'll never consider one again based on this roadside motel experience. The owners obviously don't care about anything except for the money. Again, I want to highlight the front desk clerk James. Total dump in one of the most exclusive communities in AL. I wish I could give 0 stars.
