Disliked: We have stayed at many Hampton Inn's and up until this time we have not been disappointed. This stay at Hampton Inn and Suites, Mansfield, Pennsylvania, on April 19th to the 20th was the first time we were terribly disappointed. We wanted to just get away and enjoy our 50th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2025. The first thing that upset us was, after we made our booking arrangements and a confirmation was sent to us by way of email. The email told us that there would be mandatory masking at the hotel. I called the property to clarify that because I did not want to be forced to wear a mask. I got a call back with a message that assured me I did not have to wear a mask and that the email was incorrect. But the thing that really disappointed us the most was after checking in, there was a sign that said "The pool and the spa were closed. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I brought it to the attention of the clerk at the main desk and he told me when this sort of thing happens, "we normally send our people next door to the Microtel but their pool is also down". The desk also told us they could not refund us our money or give us any credits. The hot tub was the specific reason for booking with you. Had we known the hot tub was broken we could have gone to a BNB for less money, but that wasn't what we wanted. For several years now we have specifically looked for Hampton Inns when we travel. YES, We understand equipment breaks down but customer service is extremely important. We should have been aprised of the situation and Hampton Inn should make it right.

Disliked: My wife son and I only had one issue. I stayed for 2 nights. The morning of the second day we left to do what we had to do. When we got back for the last night in the hotel we noticed they didn't clean the room. No beds made to fresh towels no trash emptied, no nothing. Very disappointed
