Expected waterfront view but only...

Liked: The hotel was advertised as having a balcony with an ocean view. The balcony was VERY small and the view was of side of buildings and street below. The door “handle” opening on the bathroom door traps your fingers and slams shut very quickly resulting in injury. I suffered from 4 bleeding knuckles due to this. Mentioned at check out and was simply told “good thing you had bandaids” which I had packed. Only immersing my hand in ice helped the pain on my bloody knuckles. The photos on the website of the “beautiful view” were totally misleading as there was no view of water, beach/sand or sunset. To say it was disappointing to pay $250 a night so my out of state relative could enjoy the views shown on the website is a major understatement
Disliked: For the room to have a view as advertised.The proximity to the beach was far and one had to cross busy traffic to get to it.The one restaurant on site was overpriced ($12.50 for chips and salsa). For $25, there could have been valet service or at least carts nearby to help carry luggage to the elevator. Everything was do-it-yourself and you pay high prices to do so. Might as well stay home to look at buildings and have no view or decent food to eat.

Relaxing and enjoyable

Liked: Front desk was friendly and informative. Hotel was clean and breakfast was was delicious. Parking bay was convenient and pool was clean. Bistro bar staff was friendly and food was delicious. Beach was clean and music was good. Definitely worth it!
