Hampton by Hilton Manchester Northern Quarter

Had a wonderful weekend at the hotel; staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

Liked: Everything.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The bed was comfy and the quiet/calm atmosphere of the hotel made it a good place to rest after a long day. The location was also good for being close to city centre, almost everything was walkable. Staff were kind and accommodating when we requested to move rooms.
Disliked: After staying at the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Leeds, I had a higher expectation than what was met from my stay at Manchester this week. In both rooms we ended up staying in, there were stains all over the floor/chairs, looked like sick. We didn’t expect an amazing view but we felt very boxed in being so close to the adjacent building, feeling like we could see into other apartments and so they could see into our room. The breakfast wasn’t great, eggs and tomatoes were cold and soggy. Booked here feeling like we would be staying somewhere nicer than a premier inn/ Travelodge, but didn’t feel any different.

Liked: Breakfast was good facilities were clean
Disliked: Requested a cot beforehand, upon arrival we were told they could not provide a cot so we had to stay with our one year old in the bed, to top this off somebody was screaming and banging the floor all night which caused our one year old to be unable to sleep. We got no sleep and when trying to call the staff they were not helping with the situation.

Disliked: One of the lifts was. out of order which being on the 7th floor was a problem on a busy saturday afternoon/ night and Sunday morning for breakfast and check out

Central, functional and lovely reception...

Liked: Rooms were modern and spacious with a decent size bathroom. Staff on reception very helpful and friendly. Sorry not to have noted her name, but older lady on breakfast service was superb- helpful and worked incredibly hard to assist everyone.
Disliked: Mattress a bit hard and pillows not supportive so didn’t make for the most comfortable nights sleep. Poor selection of over ripe/rotting fruit on breakfast buffet. Did ask for more/fresh but it never arrived - younger staff members on breakfast service not so good tbh.

Disliked: Towels were dirty, staff were preoccupied with everything but myself.
